$ wine --version wine-5.0 (Staging)
Hello,
That's not right. 5.7 and 5.6 packages should contain wine 5.7 and 5.6 respectively, not wine 5.0.
If you installed multiple wine packages, make sure you're calling the right wine command. What is the output of 'which wine'?
Anyway, zombie process is a symptom of bug 49011. Battle.net games are known to be affected.
The fix from bug 49011 has not been committed yet in mainline wine, so the chances that the fedora packages include it are slim.
You won't be able to play the game with version 5.7 until the fix is released. Downgrading to 5.6 is the only workaround if you have to use official packages. If you can build wine-staging yourself, the patch from bug 49011 fix the issue. Note that compiling wine-staging with that patch requires rebasing the staged patchset ntdll-NtSetLdtEntries.
I think we can safely assume this is a duplicate of bug 49011.
Please check that bug for future updates.
Regards.
