While testing bug #13350, I found that running gvim on my an old box at work (Dual cpu p3, xubuntu feisty, wine from today's git), eats up 100% of the cpu (52% to wineserver, 46% to gvim). Running wine notepad, however, works perfectly fine (0-2% of cpu).
Not sure what trace would help here...
