--- Comment #3 from c_blue@gmx.net 2013-02-17 20:01:40 CST --- I had this same problem after accidentally running Wine as root, more specifically, from a sudo bash while in my user's normal Wine folder. After that the applications would freeze when they required network connections, and the winecfg "Audio" tab would also freeze up winecfg when selected. I was able to run apps by starting wine via sudo on purpose, but that's not an acceptable solution. Also, winecfg still froze when clicking Audio tab even when running it under sudo.
