Performance is still quite bad with my Nvidia system (20 - 35 FPS average), and is mainly not affected by graphical settings.
Hardware info: CPU: Ryzen 1600 @ 3.6 ghz RAM: 16 GB GPU: 980 TI with 384.47 binary drivers Wine version: 2.11-staging Resolution: 2560x1440 (but still equally slow at lower resolutions)
is this with patch applied?
I believe staging already includes an updated patch going by this comment in the source code:
/* Some applications map the whole buffer even if they * only update a small portion of it. If we pin such a * buffer into system memory things get very slow as * we upload the whole buffer even though just parts of * it changed. Most drivers can handle this case more * efficient using the OpenGL map functions. Applications * affected by this problem are Banished and Witcher 3. */
So yes, performance is still affected with this patch.
