Ok, my first problem is that my PS2 gamepad to USB converter is malfunctioning,
so it can no longer be trusted. My other simpler 8 button USB gamepad works
fine in the races, not in the menus. I'm quite surprised to see that the game
actually runs in my onboard intel graphics computer, 10fps but works.
