It is true that your patched introduced a regression; it caused the installer to
freeze while loading.  The current problem is that it crashes when pressing Next
on the first installer screen, so this is probably a bit different.

Some parts of the patch fail to unapply from current CVS, and the setup program
still doesn't work.
