I just noticed we the same issue tracked heer (bug 9633).
Hope it gets fixed because is annoying to use 2D desktop when 3D is much more
fluid and fast (using mplayer with 3D desktop is way better than 2D).

Does anyone know if the folks at Compiz have already fixed it?
