I've had the exact same issue on Ubuntu 11.10 before.

I've also tried installing in wine directly with same results. This is not a
POL issue. I didn't use automatic POL installation by the way, but rather did a
manual install so it should be like a wine install.

Older wine versions also gave me the same results on 11.10.
