Well, i don't thik you are completely right.
I use Catalyst 9.3, because there is no newer version available for my graphics
card (Radeon x850)

So i can't go back from 10.12 to 10.10 ;-)

But i agree that the Ati Catalyst driver might be the problem. I will try an
open source driver as soon as i reinstall my system.
