I use the 1.1.0 version of wine which you can get from the ubuntu repository. I
tried to install it both with this version and the script from Playonlinux
which uses a custom build version of wine for the game. Both yield the same
result. The game disc runs fine in Windows, therefore it should be the same in
Linux.
