Scuse the repost but I would like to mention while visiting the page under iexplorer.exe in wine before the crash occurs it loads the page mentioning "get flash player now" under the flash object as if flash player isn't even installed.
Looks like the advice one had posted about using wine's iexplorer.exe to disable flash player GPU acceleration wasn't correct at all. Wine version of iexplorer.exe had been introduced with initial ActiveX plugins support only in the latest development releases of wine (1.3.9 and later) and I still can't get flash player ActiveX to work under wine's iexplorer.exe. So the only option to try is to install "netscape plugin" version of flash player and use win32-build of the Firefox under Wine. On my system such attemps leads to almost immediate hangs after opening up a page with embedded flash content. I would try to produce dummy settings file for flash player with GPU acceleration turned off and attach it to this bug report so one wishing to test if disabling hardware acceleration workarounds the problem on his or her system.
