I'm on OS X 10.8.3 and wine 1.5.28, I'm still getting the Activation.dll error.
Using the patch provided here makes no difference.

I've attached a +module,+virtual log, sorry for the extra trace messages.

wine_mmap_is_in_reserved_area returns 0 in "static NTSTATUS map_view" function
in dlls/ntdll/virtual.c which is ok after the patch, but ptr != base after
wine_anon_mmap as the dll is mapped in 0x10f0000-0x11fd000 instead of 0x4000000
