Linux terminal seems unable to steer into folders named with spaces, making it impossible to access for example the Program Files folder in drive_c.... So I simply deleted the spaces which in turn is what i think caused the problem of Vegas not starting. Solution: put the SonyInstall folder in your home folder in order to launch the install program with wine.
Vegas now seems to work fine.
