Font of 6 points *can* look larger that a font of 8 points if screen resolution in both cases are different. If changing screen resolution in winecfg changes nothing for you then there is something wrong on your end.
I doubt that there's something wrong on the reporter's end, because the fonts looked very small to me too even on the installation screen. See for yourself:
