No matter what I run with wine--winecfg, an app, wineboot itself, I get this message
err:process:start_wineboot failed to start wineboot, err 2
Then after a delay the app or winecfg loads and works normally. Clearly wineboot doesn't really load although issuing the wineboot command itself, you get the error message and never return to the command prompt. You must close the xterm or kill the session with Ctrl-C.
(I run Ubuntu 7.04 for AMD64 and my sessions "Allow the window manager to control the windows" is selected in my setup.)
