I can't reproduce the problem, tested with Wine 1.4.1, 1.6.2, 1.7.42. Miranda's eyes are rendered properly in each Wine version. I disabled NVidia OpenGL shader cache.
Maybe Nvidia fixed the issue in their binary drivers(?)

Very likely. They also add a shader cache quite a while back that could help here.
