--- Comment #16 from Casey Jones jonescaseyb@gmail.com 2011-07-31 03:04:10 CDT --- The crash in OpenGL mode is caused by a lack of libtxc_dxtn (aka s3tc support) on systems using the Mesa drivers.
To my knowledge, the Intel and r300g drivers will work fine on any modern kernel with the library. r600g will require kernel 2.6.39 or newer to make use of the library. I don't have any knowledge of the Nouveau drivers.
This bug should be closed.
