It seems linux-zen update from 4.7.1-1 to 4.7.2-1 affects things heavily.

Touhou 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 now work fine at 60 fps with little slowdown sometimes.
Instead the situation is inverted for Touhou 9 that drops to 10 fps.

I got no wine, xorg or intel driver update, this makes me think that the issue
was due to linux.

Solved, but now the question is why and for how much...
