The bug might be unrelated to the error messages in the log, which don't look
that good though. It's possible those are caused by the game misusing query
objects.

Can you please attach a +tid,d3d9,d3d log? Quit the game as soon as you get to
the bugged scene to keep the log relatively short and compress the log if
necessary.
