[Bug 26262] No video output in Commandos - Behind Enemy lines

I have the same or a similar bug:

Game appears to run, menu sound functions, I get a resolution switch to
640x480, but no graphics appear.  Instead, I see my desktop underneath,
magnified to 640x480.  This is different from the OP who sees a blank screen
... but it seems similar enough that I want to add my data here than file a
possible duplicate.  I believe that using primus is the cause of the
difference.

I'm using Wine wine1.4 1.4.1-0ubuntu5
I'm also using Primus / Bumblebee (game crashes with Optirun)
