Summary: my fonts are not anti aliased Product: Wine Version: unspecified Platform: PC-x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: winex11.drv AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: felix-wine@fefe.de
Created an attachment (id=19698) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=19698) font chooser dialog showing the problem
I have the core fonts installed, and the programs use them, and I have libXrender and freetype2 installed. But I get the aliased "cubistic" font display that is really hard on the eyes.
When I grep for freetype in lib/wine/*.so, I get a match in lib/wine/gdi32.dll.so, but when I do an ldd on that file, it does not list freetype. strace reveals /usr/lib/libfreetype.so is opened in the process, so it's not that the library is not found or used.
Why is there no font anti aliasing?
