--- Comment #4 from Anastasius Focht focht@gmx.net --- Hello Eli,
all 'gold' rated appdb entries are Wine 1.5, 1.6
You used an older (ancient!) Wine version 1.4.1 which is not supported anymore for a long time. Upgrade to Wine to 1.6 or better Wine 1.7 If you don't know how to do that, seek help in WineHQ user forums (http://forum.winehq.org/)
--- quote --- But seems to run fine after: 1. Running the installer 2. Copying the missing files from a windows installation to the install destination. --- quote ---
Don't post such advices on appdb. These "copy files over from Windows" recipes are not a proper way. Any bug report done with such recipe is _always_ invalid. It also gives new users the wrong impression that the app doesn't install with Wine and Wine must be "tricked" which is clearly not the case.
The installer works fine here with Wine 1.7.17, there is nothing to fix. It even worked with older Wine versions but not _that_ old.
