I have no problems starting Warcraft III after applying this patch. But when I
start WC3 without -window and switch virtual desktops or do any other action
that puts wc3 into the background the screen becomes garbled.

It's irrelevant wether WC3 is really fullscreen or not, as long as the
"-window" flag is not passed, WC3 WILL corrupt.
