Confirming that it doesn't work when the Windows version is set to Vista or
later.

This line appears in the console when it fails, but doesn't when run as XP:

fixme:actctx:parse_depend_manifests Could not find dependent assembly
L"Microsoft.Windows.GdiPlus" (1.1.0.0)

Winetricks gdiplus does not fix it.
