Bug ID: 55666 Summary: Roblox Studio crashes on start with default 96 DPI, but works with others (120 DPI, 192 DPI) Product: Wine Version: 8.16 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: MurzNN@gmail.com Distribution: ---
Created attachment 75193 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=75193 roblox-studio_wine-8.15-flatpak-96dpi-output.txt
Roblox Studio (editor) starts and works well with no-default DPIs, for example, 120 DPI, 192 DPI.
But with default 96 DPI - it always crashes on startup.
Reproducible on 3 different Ubuntu systems (22.04, 22.10, 23.04) using native Wine 8.16 and 8.15 packages, WineHQ, and Roblox Flatpak version with bundled Wine 8.15.
The Roblox Player app starts and works well without crashes on any DPI, including 96 DPI.
Here is the last output in console before the crash on starting Roblox Studio: ``` $ flatpak run io.github.vinegarhq.Vinegar studio 016c:fixme:vulkan:wine_vk_surface_set_offscreen Redirecting vulkan surface offscreen, expect degraded performance. warn: D3D9DeviceEx::SetRenderState: Unhandled render state 16 016c:fixme:nls:get_dummy_preferred_ui_language (0x8 0x409 0000000000118B20 0000000000118A60 0000000000118B28) returning a dummy value (current locale) 016c:fixme:win:RegisterPowerSettingNotification (000000000001008A,{02731015-4510-4526-99e6-e5a17ebd1aea},0): stub 016c:fixme:win:RegisterSuspendResumeNotification 000000000001008A, 0: stub. 01ec:fixme:dbghelp:elf_search_auxv can't find symbol in module 01ec:fixme:dbghelp:elf_search_auxv can't find symbol in module ... 01ec:fixme:dbghelp:elf_search_auxv can't find symbol in module 01ec:fixme:dbghelp:elf_search_auxv can't find symbol in module 01ec:fixme:dbghelp:MiniDumpWriteDump NIY MiniDumpWithDataSegs 01ec:fixme:dbghelp:MiniDumpWriteDump NIY MiniDumpWithHandleData ```
The full output is in the attachment.
Could anyone tell me ways how can I get more debug and detailed info to find the root cause of this crash?
