What do you mean with "no correct letters"?
Is it some kind of data from serial port which is missing or a problem with the
graphical user interface?

Please take a screenshot from the working version (0.9.27) and the broken one
(0.9.35).
Attach both using "Create a New Attachment" (jpg, png)
