As it's been noted that performance is better through DirectX with WoW, I'd
rather see this bug closed or marked "less important" than bug #6505.

As a "user", it would strike me as more important to get the game working one
way before spending efforts getting it done another way.

Of course, if the fix is easy and somebody takes it on, wahoo - right?
