--- Comment #29 from QuoosX quoosx@gmail.com 2008-05-25 04:06:57 --- I really have no clue if I hit the same error or not, since I use the free radeon driver for a Radeon RV250 [Mobility FireGL 9000] on FreeBSD 7.0.
0.9.56 works fine for me.
Starting with 0.9.57, performance has dropped down to an unbearable level. I assumed it was opengl related, since some of the intro screen was missing in the same way I had seen much earlier when dri was disabled.
Some time later (I guess 0.9.59 or 0.9.60), the artifacts on the intro screen were gone, but it was still slow and unplayable.
With 1.0.r2, on the first run I got an error message: X Error of failed request: GLXBadDrawable Major opcode of failed request: 144 (GLX) Minor opcode of failed request: 5 (X_GLXMakeCurrent) Serial number of failed request: 581 Current serial number in output stream: 581
On the second run, the game does start with the same slow performance as before. (Removing ~/.wine and reinstalling did not help either.)
Needless to say, if I go back to 0.9.56 without changing anything else, the game runs fine.
These additional error messages show up in 1.0.r2 comparing to 0.9.56: err:iphlpapi:getRouteTable Received unsupported sockaddr family 0x12 err:iphlpapi:getRouteTable Unexpected address type 0x10 err:iphlpapi:getRouteTable Unexpected address type 0x20
BTW: I do use the wine-kthread patch that is required for Warcraft III on FreeBSD. Additionally, I use the CompletionPort patch, but I did the same testing without it, too, getting the same results.
Versions that I did test without success: 0.9.57, 0.9.58, 0.9.59, 0.9.60, 0.9.61, and 1.0.r2. (Most of 0.9.44 to 0.9.56 patched as above do work.)
