This is an FYI. I had installed Filemaker Pro 6 on two Debian Linux machines running 2.6. When I tried to install on a 2.4 machine the installer never got to the first screen, even though I tried multiple times. It would start a whole batch of wine-prepare processes, they would go to sleep and never return. As a sanity check I installed Etch (2.6) on the machine in question and the installer worked just fine.
