Why was this closed? This bug is still present in wine 1.9.19, both in powerpoint 2007 and 2010.
The bug is not present in KDE.
I'm using awesome 3.5 in ubuntu 16.04, nvidia driver 370.28 with Composite disabled.
Try another window manager.
