Why should users report it on the battle.net forums? This is clearly a wine issue as non-wine users are not reporting it. Yes there is a log-in fix now but there are still issues with patch 1.02b and wine. After 20-30 minutes the game freezes, and on my installation, it takes the whole system down with it.
Other users are reporting this on the main Diablo 3 page on winehq.
The new symptoms you're reporting sound nothing like what led us to creating this ticket (which has already been traced down to a specific cause, with specific workarounds.)
DancingBear is directing you to the battle.net forum, because the truth is we don't actually know for sure that what you're experiencing is a wine issue. It could any of a number of things -- video driver, hardware, cooling, kernel, network, etc.
