I've played APB on Windows, and I know that it utilizes custom scripts.dll,
which hooks onto the DX 8 API calls made by APB (Renegade, really). Perhaps
that is the cause? scripts.dll sources may be obtained from
(http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=51947&package_id=5...).
