NoCD required to work around Bug 219 (Safedisc).

Sim City 3000 fails to load with the following error in the console

X Error of failed request:  BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
  Major opcode of failed request:  73 (X_GetImage)
  Serial number of failed request:  519
  Current serial number in output stream:  519

The game is started in a virtual desktop but resizes it and exits.
