--- Comment #7 from johngaleuk@yahoo.co.uk 2009-11-03 13:45:02 --- Hi I too am relatively new to Linux but have spent many hours trying to get Visual Link Spanish to work. The version of VLS I have is 4.2. I believe that is part of the problem and it is possible earlier versions (v3.6) may be ok.
My reasons for this being that I contacted Visual Link and ask if they had any advise on this subject and was told that new versions had a lot of license protection built in. They suggested that they felt earlier versions may work but would not confirm. They praised WINE but said it was not supported.
I have also found that when VLS starts in Windows it does a complete file check on start up. Simply changing a mp3 file for a different MP3 file with the same name it all falls apart. Start without playing about with mp3 changes you are not aware that checks are being made.
Maybe something I have said will click with somebody as Visual Link is a great program and worth having on board.
