Is this still an issue in current (1.1.18 or newer) wine?
Yes it is, I just tried to launch the Game "Saints Row 2" on wine 1.1.21, it crashes because it calls the unimplemented function "D3DXCreateTextureFromFileInMemory" in "d3dx9_36.dll". Errormessage:
wine: Call from 0x7eddffef to unimplemented function d3dx9_36.dll.D3DXCreateTextureFromFileInMemory, aborting
