Fill a bug report for Xorg guys.
How is this a problem with Xorg? As I said, the keyboard gets detected as a JOYSTICK device, when I reconnect the keyboard I get a /dev/input/js0 even when I don't have X running AT ALL.
Isn't this more of a kernel/udev issue?
