I've disabled shadows on 1st launch of eve and forgot that setting. So, this workaround didn't help me.
Latest git (0.9.60 tag); 173.08 NVIDIA beta drivers; issue still occurs.
Do you also have GF 8xxx or some other videocard?
Attached screenshot of my current settings; do they differ from yours?
