Are you running the game from inside drive C? Sometimes I have problems with dosbox+wine if the game is not in drive c or is in a path with spaces in the name.
definitly what i fixed in latest dosbox svn, but we only start dosbox when not running on plain x86 (e.g. wow64 setup or plain 64-bit). that means if the bug still persists on 32-bit than it's still valid i guess
