Don't forget "make", which is routine to someone of your skill level,
is confusing to beginners who need to be walked through by hand, especially
those
of us from the RPM/YUM world.  We (I am presuming to speak for others
who are unfamiliar with "make") go straight to the README for such
hand holding.
