Bug 24078 is about incorrectly settings of resolution, which probably never worked correctly in wine.
This one is about regression... When the game starts up, it doesn't show game menu on right side, because it's cut off. Because the game by default runs in windowed mode, i can stretch out the window. And this is broken since 1.1.41.

wined3d: Avoid some common invalid context accesses.
Unfortunately there are plenty of other places left. Perhaps we should consider creating our own window when the context becomes invalid and making the context current on that instead.

2. This commit was probably intended to fix bug 21384.
3. Revert of this patch after git checkout makes that problem go away.
