if i install dxvk, vkd3d, dotnet 3.5, dotnet 4.7.2, dotnet 4.8, dotnet 6, dotnet 7, dotnet 8, dotnetcore 2 and 3, dotnetcoredesktop 3, dotnetdesktop 6, 7, 8, gdiplus, mfc140, ucrtbase2019, vcrun2022, using winetricks, and run the setup program, the visual studio installer will run and will show options to install stuff but it will fail saying something similar to instalation has failed and it will be rather glitchy,
the installer can seem to be stuck until you run the mouse over the loading animation if i don't misremember. it also seems there is a race condition because when run with winedebug=+all the installer will not be as glitchy.
When using this workaround if you try to close the installer and open it again it will take a long time to show things available to install
