My ultimate goal is to access zone.com games (http://zone.msn.com/en-us/home). Since they are ActiveX-based, I need wine.
In native (linux) Firefox and Chromium I can manage to "Sign In" (upper-right corner, redirects to https://login.live.com/login.srf and then gets back) using my regular hotmail/Windows Live account. From there I can navigate, access hotmail, change profile, etc. But, as expected, launching games wont work, since they need Active X
But in wine i cant even get to Sign In. Any MS website that requires live.com authentication fails. That includes zone.com, hotmail.com, msn.com, and so on.
Tried using the builtin browser (gecko 1.2.0), as well as IE6, 7 and 8 (from winetricks, each in a separate prefix), all using fresh installed wine-1.3.23 from offical PPA. Same result for all browsers
Using Linux Mint 10 64bits (binary compatible with Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick)
Im open to any suggestion on how to make hotmail sign in to work.
Thanks!
