The SIV APIC-based CPU identification works on real Windows systems as shown by
http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=23856 but not on Wine.  What do I need
to do to prove beyond any reasonable doubt that this is a Wine/*nix issue ? 
Have you run SIV on your system ?  Does the failure get shown on your system
please ?
