I've tested it and it works under playonlinux. So I've tried to install the same packages/dlls and set the same overrides done by play on linux but with wine 1.5.7 I still have the same bug.
Also, I remember that I started having this bug after upgrading to wine 1.5.6, thus my guess is that this is a regression introduced between 1.5.4 and 1.5.6
