Bug ID: 48578 Summary: Sky Go app crashes on startup Product: Wine Version: 5.0 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: justus.jones@posteo.org Distribution: Other
Created attachment 66411 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=66411 Terminal output with WINEDLLOVERRIDES=libGLESv2.dll=d
The Sky Go app (OnDemand Pay TV in Germany) crashes on startup after briefly showing a splash screen.
The installer for the app can be downloaded here: https://www.sky.de/produkte/sky-go-158150
There's no version information. $ sha256sum Sky\ Go.exe 7924160fd16917e96a17146017d1bc70085e1674610ba9ccb91da4747cfccb14 Sky Go.exe
I've tried with wine and wine-staging 5.0, both with the hack from https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44055 in dwmapi_main.c applied to avoid an error regarding the Aero theme.
Running the app without any dll overrides results in a black window as described in https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44985 and the app crashing after a few seconds.
Using WINEDLLOVERRIDES=libGLESv2.dll=d shows the splash screen, the app checks for updates which seems to work (the "Checking for updates" message disappears after a few seconds), window controls (minimize, maximize, close buttons) appear in the top right corner. Then the app crashes without any error message.
