Maybe someday there'll be a need to emulate 32 bit on 64 bit systems but it's not yet an issue.

It is (or if you want to be pedantic, will be) a bug. OS X is dropping 32-bit support, which will break a lot of wine functionality.
This was discussed at the last Wineconf in detail. AFAIK Ken is exploring various workarounds, though I'm not aware of the current state of things. Given that Apple is considering moving to ARM in the near future, this may have complicated things further, but that's my own speculation.
Given that it's only a warning for now, not critical.
