I found a patched executable at civfanatics that adds some QOL features to the game, while also fixing many bugs. Among the bugs fixed, it allows the game to run properly on Wine. https://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/c3x.28759/ Source code is available on github. Game is running without issues now. Wine 10-1 Arch Linux Intel HD 620 Graphics
