I can confirm that this is a regression.

The problem started occurring in The Witcher III after my system upgraded to
Wine 7.14. The game became fully functional again when I started using the
stable branch instead. That is to say, it once more accepted keyboard input.

This in on KDE Neon using Ubuntu 20.04 LTS as the base system with DXVK and
Kisak's Mesa drivers.
