The mageia 6 installer had 32 bit multiarch enabled by default, but I am not sure if it also applies to dnf. Anyway, it makes sense to mention it in the installation instructions as someone might have disabled it.
It doesn't yet apply to DNF, unfortunately. Known issue and planned to be worked on for Mageia 7.
