since i couldn't play the game for about one week and i keept trying different wine versions i can tell you guys my story .. game keept on crashing after entering login over and over ... seems that is due to my router so it isn;t a wine bug it's due to the way youre address is routed. This is my 2 cents .. not a solution .. maybe a brainiac could focus and solve this matter.
I don't think that is accurate, I have a system that I dual boot on and it works with no problem on windows but not on wine, I am also able to run it on a windows vm so i'm pretty sure it's not a problem with the router. As to what it is I honestly don't know, i've given up trying to play it in wine which is kinda sad as i'd rather move completely to linux, but too many games require things which still don't work (and in some cases will never work) in wine.
I'm playing this game for allmost 2 years using ubuntu ... but a few days ago i had to connect the router to have a wireless connection in house since i did that i couldn't get past the login screen, i have a DSL connection so after a few days of not working i pluged back the wire straight into desktop .. and i'm back playing ... same configuration same versions. I think Juan Lang got the patch for this but as far as i know patching means recompiling wine .. and i'm not trying that again on 64 bit.
